Strategic Learning Blog Post #3 Powerschool

Science grades

Chinese grades

Math grades

   How did it go?
I think it went pretty well.

How do you know?
Well, from some of the subjects in the pictures above, I could tell that these were the subjects that I had most improvement or more of a down hill fall (grade wise.) In strategic learning, we pay the most attention to the last five grades. In science, as you can see my last five grades were four A's and one C, I think this C warned me and told me that I should study smarter the night before the test. But, as you can see in my Chinese grade, I started off really rocky by getting one C and one D, but you can see the improvement I had made. By seeing the C and D change into the B's and a couple of A's. Something that really stood out about my math grade, was that even though my last five grades were pretty well, I started off with a B as my final grade. But now after strategic learning and using stickies I have managed to raise my math grade into an A. These were some of the evidence from my powerschool.

What will you do now as a result?
Right now, I look at my stickies to make sure I know what type of homework I need to do, and if I'm on time with all the homework. Also now I will consistently check my time table to see when I am able to have time to do my own stuff and homework, it helps me see at what time of the day I can study for quizzes or tests. I will also pay a lot of attention to my grades in Powerschool, so if I am not doing too well in one subject I will study smarter to raise that grade. I will continue to do all these steps.

Strategic Learning Phase 2 Reflection

How is it going?
It's going pretty good.

How do you know?
As you can see from the picture above of my stickies, I try to update my stickies pretty often. I also make sure that the layout of my stickies are good and easy to read, so I put the name of the subject at the top of the stickies. I also make sure to write "done" and "no homework" to tell me what I have done and to help me be more organised. Another thing that helps me is that I look back at Google Calendars to remind me what homework I have to put on my stickies.

Strategic Learning Phase 2

1. How Do You Think It's Going?
I think that I'm doing pretty well with phase two.
2. How Do You Know?
I know that I'm doing phase 2 pretty well because as you can see from the above I try to update them pretty often, and when I'm done with that piece of homework I make sure I say I'm "DONE" to remind me.
